WegbereiterInnen was developed as a counterpart to an exhibition with the same name. It’s aim was to draw a picture of the development of the cultural landscape in Liechtenstein. Where did the first art exhibitions take place, who pushed culture forward in a predominantly agricultural society? And how did a cultural and art scene emerge in the rhine valley?
The book was conceived by Luis Hilti and Lilian Hasler, its design developed by Wolf Studio and the historical research conducted by Toni Büchel.
The book was awarded “most beautiful book of Liechtenstein 2018”.
